CEED 2016 Exam

Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is a qualifying exam required to take admission in Master of Design (M.Des.) programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur, and Ph.D programmes in Design at some institutes.
CEED 2016 exam will be divided into two parts i.e. Part A which is an online segment contains three sections and Part B containing 5 questions which have to be answered in the answer book provided by the invigilator.

CEED 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying to CEED 2016 exam must satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

• Aspirants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Architecture/ Design/ Interior Design or any other equivalent 4 years programme after 10+2.
• Applicants having Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or equivalent of 4 years programme after 10+2) are also eligible for CEED 2016.
• BFA graduates can also apply for CEED 2016.
• Students having Master’s degree in Arts/ Science/ Computer Applications (2 year programme after 10+2+3) can also appear for the exam.

(NOTE: Candidates having 3 years’ Bachelor’s degree are not eligible for CEED 2016 examination.)

CEED 2016 exam pattern will be divided into two sections i.e. Part A and Part B. The detailed pattern is mentioned below:

The duration of CEED 2016 will be three hours which is segregated into one hour for Part A and two hours for Part B.

CEED 2016 Counselling/Interview

Qualifying CEED exam only doesn’t guarantee admission to any programme. Students are required to satisfy the other criteria such as Tests or Interviews etc of the respective institutes.
Candidates will need to visit the official websites of corresponding institutes and apply for the programmes individually.

CEED 2016 Exam Syllabus

The objective of CEED 2016 is to evaluate the aptitude of the students for design involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity and communication skills. Thus, the questions will be based on the general awareness, mathematical and graphic aptitude, basic designing aptitude, observation and visualisation.

UID Aptitude Test 2016

Design Aptitude Analysis for Admission is the process of getting admission in any design stream/discipline. ID Aptitude test is conducted by Unitedworld Institute of Design for B.Design and M.Design. It will be conducted on 7^th February, 2016

UID Aptitude Test 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility (UG)
Admission into an undergraduate program at UID requires successful completion of:

• Minimum 10+2, higher secondary education with minimum 50 % aggregate score from any recognized higher secondary school board as on date of academic session starting from July 2016.
• Clearance and merit of Design Aptitude Analysis exam for admission
• UG: Age limit – 20 years.

Eligibility (PG)

• Minimum 10+2+3/4, Bachelor’s education with minimum 50% aggregate score from any recognized Institution or University in the relative area of studies as mentioned in each specialized subject as on date of academic session starting on July 2016.
• Clearance and merit of Design Aptitude Analysis exam for admission.

UID Aptitude Test 2016 Exam Syllabus

General IQ Test: It tests your ability in following fields:

• Verbal
• Mathematical
• Spatial
• Visualization
• Classification
• Logic
• Pattern recognition

Critical Analysis Test: Critical Reasoning evaluates your ability to analyze logical arguments. The arguments cover a range of topics and situations.
Creative Ability Test: It examines your skills on basically conceptualizing an idea on paper etc. in areas such as sketching, illustration, models etc.
Creative Situation Test: It tests your ability to visualize situations given to you and put it on paper using methods described in test.

AIEED 2016 (All India Entrance Examination for Design 2016)

(All India Entrance Examination for Design) 2016 is going to be organized by Arch Academy of Design in the month of January 2016 and application form for the same will be available from November, 2015. Candidates can apply online for AIEED 2016 as the application form along with information brochure is available at the official website. Interested candidates are instructed to apply for AIEED 2016 before the deadline given as candidates are not eligible to apply after the last date mentioned. Meanwhile, it is instructed to candidates to collect all possible information regarding AIEED entrance exam such as its application form, exam dates, eligibility criteria, admit card, result etc.

AIEED 2016 Eligibility Criteria

In order to become eligible for AIEED the age of candidates should not be less than 16 years for undergraduate course and 21 years for post graduate course.

Educational Qualification for Undergraduate Course     

• Appearing or passed 10+2 candidates are eligible to apply.
• Candidates those have AIEEE rank or NATA score are eligible to apply for AIEED exam 2016. They will be called directly for the interview.
• Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification for Postgraduate Course

• Appearing or passed graduation candidates are eligible to apply.
• Candidates are eligible to apply for Strategic Management & Leadership and Strategic Design Management along with their recent MAT/CAT score. However they also need to clear the AIEED 2016 and its related interview.

For Fashion Design/ Fashion Design (Knits)/ Textile Design: The +2 level examinations in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination such as CBSE , New Delhi and Council for Indian School of Certificate New Delhi; or

General Certificate Education (GCE) Exam (London /Cambridge/ Sri Lanka at the Advanced (A) level; or

Any Public School/ Board/ University Exam in India or in Foreign countries recognized by Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system; or A pass grade in Senior Secondary School Exam conducted by National Open School with minimum of five subjects; or 3 or 4 years diploma recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education

Postgraduate Programs (M.Sc)

For Garment Manufacturing Technology /Fashion Marketing & Mgmt.: B.Sc/B.Tech/BE or BA / B.Com / BBA /BCA with any one of the following subjects: Economics /Statistics /Management/ Marketing/ Mathematics/ Textiles / Fashion / Accounts/ Computers/ Home Science/ any other related Diploma

Reservation of Seats

The reservation policy followed by NIIFT for seats in each program is as follows (Subject to the condition of defined eligibility)

SC Candidates: Candidates applying under this reserved quota would have to produce a Caste/Tribe certificate from Competent Authority of respective State /Union Territories/National Commission of Tribes

PH Candidates: Candidates seeking admission under this physically handicapped quota must produce a Disability Certificate issued by Medical Board attached with Vocational Rehabilitation Centre (VRC) working under Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India, certifying their disability as 40% or more

Foreign/NRI Candidates: 07 seats in each discipline are reserved for admission of Foreign Nationals whether residing in India or abroad, applicants from Non Resident Indians are as specified in Income Tax Act 1961
